Resolution retroactively authorizing the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $846,952.62 from the California Highway Patrol for the Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program to support optimizations and advancements in toxicology testing capabilities related to driving under the influence of drugs for the grant term of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028; and authorizing the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to execute a draft Grant Agreement.

Resolution retroactively authorizing the Port of San Francisco to execute Amendment No. 6 to a professional services contract with COWI/OLMM Joint Venture for architectural and engineering services for the Mission Bay Ferry Landing Project; extending the contract term retroactively from June 16, 2026, for a total term of January 3, 2017, through June 30, 2028, with no changes to the contract amount of $6,411,383.

Resolution authorizing the Port of San Francisco to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $4,500,000 from the San Francisco County Transportation Authority to fund the Mission Bay Ferry Landing project for the period of July 15, 2026, through September 30, 2028; approving the Grant Agreement pursuant to Charter, Section 9.118; and authorizing the Acting Executive Director to enter into amendments or modifications to the Grant Agreement that do not materially increase the obligations or liabilities to the City and are necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Grant Agreement.

Raise grant approval threshold to $1 million

The ordinance increases the minimum grant amount that requires Board of Supervisors approval from $100,000 to the greater of $1,000,000 or the federal single‑audit threshold.

Update charter to modify commissions and advisory bodies

The charter amendment would let the Board amend certain initiative ordinances and move several commissions and advisory bodies from the Charter to the Municipal Code.

Motion directing the Budget and Legislative Analyst to initiate a performance and management audit, in collaboration with the Controller’s office, of the Academy of Sciences in Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
